Inclusion

We are dedicated to making Beth El a comfortable and accessible place for all people, of all abilities and needs.  As part of the Ruderman Inclusion Community program of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, we have received special training and resources to achieve this goal. Under the leadership of our Inclusion Coordinator Claudia Mazur, our Inclusion Committee meets regularly to address the congregation’s needs in our worship, physical spaces and educational programs.

Some special accommodations that have been made include hearing assistance devices, optical aids, teen assistants-in-training in every classroom to help with differentiated instruction, and accessible mezuzot on our doors. We are always working to address additional needs and actively seeking grants to acquire the resources to do so.
